Objective of the Public Authority:

1.    To provide efficient service to the beneficiaries under the National Food Security Act-2013             and State Food Security Scheme-2018.

2.    To address farmer distress by ensuring MSP during paddy procurement operations.

3.    To address the grievance petitions of the public.

Mission/Vision Statement of the Public Authority:

 1.    Streamlining of PDS and paddy procurement operations.

Brief History of the Public Authority and context of its Information:

                 During World War II, it was felt necessary to supply essential commodities to the needy persons without any disruption. In view of this objective the Civil Supply Department was formed afterwards.

 Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:

  1. Smooth management of PDS
  2. Enforcement of the rules and regulations made by the govt. with regard to availability of Essential Commodities.
  3. Streamlining the paddy procurement operations.
  4. Disposal of public petitions.

Official Hour:

Morning hour of the office 10.00 A.M

Closing hour of the office= 5:30 P.M
