Aim & objectives of the organization: i) To conduct Forest research in the stateii) To carryout Forest Resource Survey in the Stateiii) To Impart Training of Forest personnel in the State and capacity building. 2. Training: Capacity Building of human resource of the Forest Department through Induction, Refresher and Thematic Courses of training. 3. Brief history & background for its establishment: This organization was established in the year 1953 at Cuttack to supervise and monitor Forest Research , Training and Forest Resource Survey works carried out through the divisions. 4. Allocation of business: Forest Research Silviculture Division, Bhubaneswar Silviculture Division, Rayagada Training Odisha Forest Rangers College, Angul Nicholson Forester Training School, Champua Forester Training School, G.Udayagiri Forester Training School, Bhubaneswar Forest Resource Survey Forest Resource Survey Division, Cuttack 5. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission: i) To supervise, monitor and guide the approved Research, Training, Resource Survey Programmesii) To Approve the detail research, training and resource work programmes 6.
