The Odisha Forest Rangers 'College, Angul is located within the longitude from 85" 6'30.1" to 85" 6' 44.1" E and latitude from 20" 50' 1.3" to 20" 50'19.6" N. It is located nearly 150 Kms. from the State capital Bhubaneswar and well communicated with East-cost Railway and N.H. 55. It is located at a vital point since Angul is the centre point of Odisha and being nicely communicated with all parts of the state Satkosia Wildlife Sanctuary, deep forests of Angul Division, Athmallik Division, Deogarh Division and Dhenkanal Division are located within 40-50 Kms. from this Institution. So establishment of Odisha Forest Rangers' College at Angul has got justification so far imparting training to the newly recruited candidates for the post of Forest Guards, Foresters and Range Officers is concerned . Because it provides sufficient inputs for the said trainees to gain practical knowledge about Forestry and Wild Life by visiting these forests. The college is also self sufficient to provide the training to the trainees comfortably so far the training facilities i.e class room, laboratory, library ,faculty members, study materials, power point projection, transportation etc. are concerned .Still there is scope to go long way to make the training programme modernized by bringing in a lot of changes in all the aspects.
