1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
The Office of the Chief District Veterinary Officer, Bargarh is the pivotal institution at the District level to over see the implementation of different Animal Husbandry activities like inoculation, artificial insemination, treatment, fodder cultivation, encourage farmers to adopt different livestock and poultry farming as a mean to support their livelihood and to carry on the instruction, plan and policy of it's parent concern that is Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Odisha, Cuttack.
2. Mission/ Vision:
The mission of this institution is to up-lift the economic condition of the farmers through development of livestock and poultry which is second in their command besides agriculture by implementing different scheme/ programs of Govt. related to veterinary sector and also induces farmers towards this sector in the district.
3. Brief History and back ground for its Establishment:
The Office started functioning from dt. Is1 April 1993 for successful and sustained implementation of different programmes of animal husbandry activities as launched by the Govt. from time to time. The district has a cattle population as follows:
