1. History & Background of Its Establishment:
This is a Government organization defined as "Excise" Department under the control of Government in excise Department/ Excise Commissioner Odisha. This office is a Sub-Ordinate office which is functioning in this district since inception of the district. Regarding function and duties, it is stated that Duties are performed as per the Govt. rules and regulations and primarily includes, collection of Excise revenue from liquor, to control-manufacture-distribution of Government approved liquor and conducting enforcement to prevent/ restrict sale of illicit liquor.
