Aims and objectives of the Organization:

   1. To augment revenue for the State Exchequer
   2. To eradicate excise Crime
   3. To provide hygienic liquor for consumption

Mission/Vision:

Expansion of Excise Shops and eradication of excise crimes to educate on deaddiction renunciation of spurious liquor and establishment of safe alcoholic standred.

Brief History and Background for its Establishment:

This office was bifurcated from Dhenkanal District and independently functioned from 11.04.1995.

Allocation of Business:

1. Collection of Govt. Revenue
2. Consumption of intoxicant
3. Detection of Excise Crimes

Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:

1. Explore the feasibility of new excise shops in the district.
2. Enhance consumption duty paid liquor.

Details of Services Rendered:

1. Prohibition on entry of Non-duty paid and duplicate liquor
2. 100% collection of Excise Revenue.
3. Total utilization of manpower.

Citizens Interaction:

Positive suggestions are taken cared of grievances of citizens are mitigated through enforcement social interaction on pros and cons on consumption of liquor are given priority to.
