Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

[Section-4 (1) (b) (i)] 

Objectives

i. a.   It is a Visual Art College having a 4 years B.V.A. course. Prerequisite qualification to the B.V.A Course is after +2 or its equivalent Examination. Out of 4 years 1 year is foundation course and other 3 years are in specialisation stream. Every part is examined by the University. At the end of 4 year, the Final certificate is given by the University.

 b.   Classes are run from 10a.m. to 4p.m. in every working days except vacations and   holidays.

 c.   To appear the examination, a student has to secure the required number of %.

 d.   Public can get information regarding to admission criteria, application forms and      prospectus. Result of the admission test is notified in the College Notice Board with intimation to the authority and the students.Necessary fee structures, college rules are published in the prospectus and course structure in the University syllabus.

 e.  Academic and administrative information is to be given by the concerned teachers and the Principal.

ii. 
Academic activities relating to visual art and other Art trainings (Tribal and Rural) are undertaken as per direction of the Govt. and other authorities from time to time.

iii. Available in the College office.

iv. Looks after the institution both academic and administrative and over all development of  the institution.

ix.  Through notification and direction of the authorities and the University.

x.   This college has its own P.I.O. and 1st Appellate Officer through which public grievances can be solved.

2. Function:

a) It is functioning under the Department of Tourism and Culture (Culture) at Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar in its own building within a area of 4,200 acres.

b) Course Structure: 4 years Bachelor Degree in Visual Art

i. Intake Capacity:70

ii. Subject studies: Painting (Western style & Indian Style, Sculpture, Applied Art, Graphic Art(Print making), Pottery & Ceramics and Art History.

iii. Affiliated to the Utkal University of Culture
