1. Brief History and Background for its Establishment:

   The name of this Office is Office of the Executive Engineer, Mech. (R&B) Division, Bhubaneswar Head Quarter at Bhubaneswar, Satyanagar. This Division is having jurisdiction over five numbers of Mech. Sub-division covering the District of Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Jagatsingpur. The name of Sub-division are:

i) Mech. (R&B) Sub-division No.-I, Bhubaneswar

ii) Mech. (R&B) Sub-division No.-II, Bhubaneswar

iii) Mech. (R&B) Sub-division No.-III, Dhenkanal

iv) Mech. (R&B) Sub-division No.-IV, Cuttack

v) Mech. Sub-division, Kendrapara

   The function of this Division & its Sub-division is to look after the R/M/S/R of Machineries/ Vehicles which are deployed for the Road Works of Civil Division like (R&B) & N.H. as well as vehicles utilized by the different Officers, VIP/ VVIP of Works Department.
