Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Functions & its Main Activities:
a) The Ganjam (R&B) Division No. I Berhampur is functioning under Works Department for Construction and Maintenance of Building roads and bridge and culverts etc as per the Government of Odisha Norms and Guidelines.
b) Construction and Maintenance of Building works, Road works, Bridge & Culvert works are for public utility.
2. Vision :
a) For Habitation and Utilization of Building and Roads for public & officials.
b) This R&B Division was created under Works Department as 5.12.1888 for Construction & Maintenance of Road & Building works under Guidelines of Government of Odisha.
c) (i) Improvement & Repair of Road Works of SH, MDR, ODR category.(ii) Construction & Maintenance of Govt. Res. & Non Res. Buildings.(iii) Construction & Maintenance of Bridge & Culverts.(iv) Construction of R.O.B.
d) Execution, Supervision, Monitoring and maintenance of existing Road & Building works.
e) For better communication of Rural & Urban people on Roads.
f) For better habitation of buildings for Public & Officials.
