Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Brief History of the Organization:
This Division comes under the control of NH Circle (N) Bhubaneswar & under the Administrative control of Chief Engineer, NH (Odisha) Bhubaneswar. This organization is under the works department in Government of Odisha.
2. Address of the Main Office:
N.H. Division, Pallahara, At/Po- Pallahara, Dist-Angul, PIN: 759119
3. Jurisdiction:
i. The jurisdiction of this division comes NH 6 from Km. 415/800 to 427/342 Km., NH 23 from Km. 337/300 to 421/300 Km. as MDR from 0/0 to 29/700 Km.ii. Besides above two nos. of I.B. i.e. at Khamar & Pallahara functioning under the control of this division.iii. This division takes up the repair & maintenance of the Road & C.D. Works along with the improvement & Strengthening of original work, as per the allotment received from time to time.
4. This division consists of three Sub- Division, & Nine Section namely:
a. Sub Division Office:
i. N.H. Sub Division, Pallaharaii. N.H. Sub Division, Khamariii. N.H. Sub Division, Talcher
b. Section Office
i. N.H. Section I, II, III at Pallaharaii. N.H. Section I, II, at Khamariii. N.H. Section at Dadaraghativ. N.H. Section at Banarpalv. N.H. Section at Parjangvi. N.H. Section at Talcher
The Divisional Officer is the Executive Engineer, He is answerable to Superintending Engineer.
Executive Engineer pays special attention while preparing plans & estimates including RCE for all works under the Division. Any deficiency in sanctioned plan and any variation at site with the sanctioned plan estimate is brought to the notice of higher authorities to get the defects rectified before execution of the work as the case may be.
The Executive Engineer takes emergent nature of work caused due to natural calamities under intimation to the higher authorities to keep the road in to trafficable condition. All the Assistant Engineer & Junior Engineer working under his control are responsible for the Government works and duties allotted to them.
5. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
There is a Grievance cell in the office & the grievances are heard on each Thursday from 12.00 P.M. to 1.30 P.M.
