Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Brief History & BackGround:

The Expressway division, Kendrapara with head quarters at Kendrapara is located near Tinimuhani Chhaka. It is very near to the District Office. Kenerapara. It is under Works Department Government of Odisha. The improvement and maintenance repair of N.H.200 from 37270 to 428429 KM, Expressway No. 1 from 1/0 to 9/0 KM and Government Quarters located at Kendrapara. Dubari Chandikhol, Balichandrapur and Kujanga with one I.B. at Paradeep and one at Chandikhel is comes under its jurisdiction and scope of activities. Now it has three Sub-Divisions namely N.II sub-Division Kendrapara, Expressway Sub-Division, Chandikhol and Expressway Sub-Division, Duburi with head Qrs. At Kendrapara, Chandikhol and Duburi respectively.

The Executive Engineer supervises and check measure of all developmental and maintenance work of National Highways running in the Division  through Works Department. All N.H. works are funded by the Ministry of Road, Shipping Road Transport & Highways. Govt. of India, New Delhi.

4. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission.

i. Administrative Control of all technical & non-technical officers.
ii. Monitoring for successful & timely completion of N.H. works in the State of Odisha.
iii. Proposal for creation of new N.Hs. being submitted to the Ministry through Govt. of India, New Delhi.

5. Details of services rendered.

Tenders for the works are being  called by the Executive Engineer of the estimates sanction by the Ministry of Shipping Road Transport & Highways, Government of India.

6. Citizens interaction:

The suggestions of local representative and the general Public are duly honored by this Organization and problems shorted-out within the available resources at the disposal of the Department.
