1) Brief History & Background of its Establishment:
The name of this office is "Bhubaneswar (R&B) Division No. IV" located near power house chhak in Unit- V of Bhubaneswar. Previously this Division has been started for taking up new developmental construction work in capital and it was known as "Capital Construction Division No. II". In the Year 2000 this Division renamed as "Bhubaneswar (R & B) Divn. No. IV" and at present it takes up mainly repair & maintenance work of the Govt. residencial and Non-residential building and some important roads of Bhubaneswar city. The area in which this division takes up the work mainly in (i) Unit- IV, MLA Colony (ii) Unit-IX Road Zone & Flat Zone, Sainik School Area, OSAP 7th BN, Governor's House etc. The major Roads coming under jurisdiction of this division are A.G. Chhak to Nalco Chhak via Acharya Vihar Chhak and Jayadev Vihar Chhak to Kalinga Stadium & other internal roads of Unit- IV, Sainik School and Governor's House etc. This Division consists of nos. Sub-Division and 10 nos. of sections. The head of this division is Executive Engineer & other staffs of this Division are (i) D.A.O., Auditors of Accounts Branch (ii) H.C. & other Assistants of Establishment & Estimator & are of estimating branch.
