Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
The jurisdiction of the National Highway Division, Berhampur is starting from Km. 0/0 to 137/809 Km. of NH-224, From Km. 0/0 to 59/0 Km. of NH-203, From Km. 0/0 to 48/0 km. of NH-203(A) & From Km. 0/0 to 37/521 of NH-203 (E) and look into the following works:
Mission/ Vision:
The N.H. Division, Bhubaneswar emphasizes to prepare vision plan for improvement of National Highways & bridges under this Division. It targets to improve the entire single lane to double lane in near future.
Brief History and Background for its Establishment:
The N.H. Division, Bhubaneswar is functioning since declaration of NH-5 and now in charge of maintenance and improvement of NH-224 & 203 only as the NH-5 has been handed over to National Highway Authority of India for its improvement.

Allocation of Business:
Powers are delegated by the Government from time to time for transaction of business in respect of establishment matter relating to Divisional establishment and other matters. Delegation of power so far as Public Works are concerned this Division follows the OPWD Code. The power in the matter of finalization of Tender as delegated by the Government is upto Rs.50.00 lakhs. The tender for works or supplies above Rs.50.00 lakhs are referred to higher authority for approval.
Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:
To utilize the funds as provided by the Government of India, Ministry of Road Transport, Shipping & Highways as well as Government of Odisha in Works Department the Divisional Officer is making key role for supervising of the works to ensure quality and timely completion of the projects. The Field Officers and executive agencies are instructed to ensure quality and timely completion of the projects.
Details of Services Rendered:
This Division has already completed 57 Km. of road under P/R to NH-203 & 30.720 Km. under P/R to NH-224, 33.021 Km. of road under IRQP to NH-203 and 33 Km. of road under Widening & Strengthening to NH-224 from the declaration of NH-203 and 224 till-date and taking care of proper maintenance of the road to provide better services to the road users.
