Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

Aim & Objectives of the Organization: 

Maintenance and improvement of N.H 200 from km 0/0 to 156/436.

Mission/Vision:  

   Its  mission  is  to  maintain  and  improve  the  roads  coming  under it's jurisdiction  for  a  smooth flow of vehicular traffic   as per the allotment  available.

Brief History & Background for its Establishment:

   This division came into existence with effective from October'2000. It functions from its own building near P.W.D. IB, Jharsuguda. It has 2 Sub Divisions namely Jharsuguda & Belpahar, function from the places their name.

As stipulated in OPWD code, CPWD code, Treasury rules, OGFR & Service code.

Duties to be performed to active the mission:

      Tenders in the level of Sub Division, Division,  S.E. & C.E level are called, for maintenance of the existing roads under this Division along with new construction of roads at desired reaches after due approval of higher authorities from time to time. While executants execute the works, site Engineers remain vigilant for quality out put and quantitative achievement  of the work done against the contract .Other office staff discharge duries in the matter of processing of estimates tenders, processing the bills to facility the payment, maintaining the records and rendering accounts to A.G. Odisha along with establishment in general.

Details of Service Rendered:

1. Maintenance of Roads & Bridges in general.
2. New construction & improvement works such as strengthening, widening of roads.
3. Educate user of the roads regarding road safety measures and traffic rules in general by providing road signs on the side the roads.
