Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:
To reduce Malnutrition and Child Mortality & Mother Mortality Proper Co-ordination with all department for effective implementation of the programme.
2. Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:
Women & Child Development along with adolescent girls.
3. Brief History of the Public Authority and Context of its Formation:
CDPO, Agalpur covers the block area (18 G.Ps) as per the Govt. order ( W& CD Department)
4. Duties of the Public Authority:
Dist. Social Welfare Office, Balangir Jurisdiction.
5. List of Services being provided by the Public Authority with a brief write up on them:
i Supplementary nutrition programme:
Morning snacks & hotcooked meal is being given to pre school children as per tahe weekly manual given by Govt. & Chhatua is being given to pregnant and nusing mothers and 7m-3y children prepared and supplied by five SHCs of this project.
ii. Immunisation:
immunisation camp is being held in each and every AWC on Wednesday fixed for the said AWC to immunise children om-6y,Adolscent Girls and pregnant mothers.
iii. Pre-School:
Pre- School is being conducted by theAWWS from 9 AM to 2PM. Except summer season according to the Arunima patern.
iv. Health and Nutrition:
Education on Health and Nutrition is being given to preganant and nursing mothers on every Tuesday and Friday ie, VHND/ Mamata Divas.
v. Helath Check up:
Health check up of om-6y children and pregnant/ nursing mothers on Mamata Divas according to the schedule.
vi. Referral Services:
Aww used to refer the Malnurished, Children and Sick Children of their AWC out of their Refferal Fund and P.D. Fund.
vii. CMRF:
Severally malnourished children who are identified on the mamata Divas refer as on the Pustikar Divas . I.e on 15 th of every month out of Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
viii. Mission Sakti:
WSHG are empowered under this programme for their self employment. Capactity Building and Skill upgradation training are being imparted to make them economically sound.
ix. Kishori Shakti Yojana:
Adolscent Girls between 10y-19y of age are enrolled under this programme, IFA and Deworming tablets are distributed to them.Also health and nutrition are being given to them on every monday at AWC level.
x. Emergency Feeding:
Old, infirm and indigent are being enrolled under this programme.Hot cooked meal is given to them as per the prescribed menu Chart.
6. Mechanism available for monitoring the Service delivery and Public Grievance Resolution:
This is by Collector and Sub-Collector, Bolangir
