1) Objective/ Purpose of the Public Authority:
i) To reduce mal nutrition & child mortality rate.ii) The holistic development of Women, Adolescent Girls & Children (0-6 years) in terms of materials, resources, Programmes.iii) A special focus is provided to pregnant and nursing women and children below 6 years and adolescent girls of rural areas with a aim to reduce infant and maternal mortality, morbidity and malnutrition.iv) It also runs a successful programme 'Mission Shakti' aimed at economic empowerment of women through formation of women's self-help group and linking these to credit facilities from financial institutions.v) It also provide 6 packages of services to beneficiaries such as supplementary nutrition program, health check up, immunization, preschool, referral and NHED.
2) Brief History of the Public Authority and Context of its information:
Child Development Project Office was established at Anandapur in the year 1997. It is functioning under DWCRA building under Sadar Block Premises. It consists of 166 AWCs.
3) Mission/ Vision Statement of the Public Authority:
i) Mother & Child development of Odisha.ii) Implementing the scheme for Women, Children (0-6 years).iii) Computerization of ICDS Project list with type of project - rural, year of sanction-1997.iv) Number of AWCs 166.
