To undertake intensive mineral investigation.

2. Mission/ Vision of the Public Authority:

To ascertain the mineral occurrence in the area under the jurisdiction of the authority.

3. Brief history of the Public Authority and context of its formation:

Mineral investigation under its jurisdiction i.e. Balangir, Kalahandi, Subarnapur, Nuapada

4. Duties of the Public Authority:

To undertake mineral investigation works.

5. Main activities and functions of the Public Authority:

To conduct and manage the field investigation work as assigned by the director of geology in different area and submission of report there on.

6. List of services provided by the Public Authority with a brief write-up on them:

Mineral investigation under its jurisdiction i.e. Balangir, Kalahandi, Subarnapur, Nuapada and preparation of geological reports of the investigation carried out phase wise in different field season since its formation.
