1) Aims & Objective of the Organization:

Welfare of SC/ ST/ Minorities & S & EBC.

2) Mission & Vision:

     Smooth execution of S.T. and S.C. and S.E.B.C. Scheme/ Protective Legislation/ Distribution of Stipend/ Supervision of Different Scheme/ Organization.

3) Brief history and background its establishment:

     The district welfare office started function w.e.f. from 02-10.1992 after creation of Gajapati District vide government notification No.49137/R., dt.01.10.1992.

5) Allocation of Business:

     Smooth execution of S.C./ S.T./ Minorities & S. & E.B.C. Schemes/ Distribution of Stipends/ Supervision of Different Schemes/ Inspection of Offices as per O.R.V. Act.

6) Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:

i) Supervision & Monitoring of Loan Scheme.
ii)
Supervision and Monitoring of Pre-Matric Scholarship/ Post Matric Scholarship/ Merit-cum-Poverty Scholarship.
iii)
Inspection of Activities of N.G.O. receiving G.I.A. from Government.
iv)
Inspection of Offices as per O.R.V. Act as per program.
v)
Distribution of monetary relief to S.C./ S.T. Victim and Atrocity cases.
vi)
Inspection of High School/ Ashram School/ Sevashrams running under S.T. & S.C. Develop department.

7) Details of service rendered:

Welfare of S.C./ S.T./ Minorities S. & E.B.C.

8) Citizens interaction: As and when necessary.

The Map of Office location available in District Office.

11) Working hours both for Office and Public:

10 A.M. to 1.30 P.M. Working hour.
1.30 P.M. to 2 P.M. Lunch hour.
2 P.M. to 5 P.M. working hour.

12) Public interaction, if any: As per requirement of Public.

13) Grievance redress mechanism:

Any grievance received are disposed of priority basis.
