1. Aims and Objective of the Organization:
The aims and objective of this office are to ensure social and economic justice to SCs & STs and the people of backward classes. This office works for educational, cultural and economic development of the people belonging to SC/ST aid other backward classes.
2. Mission Vision:
This office entrusts and encourages its officials to work as a unit aid to extend Co-Operation to others units for the achievement of its objectives. The vision of this organization is to materialize the concept of Welfare State and the well being of all people.
3. Brief History and Background of its Establishment:
This office was established during die yea 1949. The District Welfare Office, Sundargarh is the field office at District level of the erstwhile T&R.W Deptt. aid at present ST and SC Development Deptt, Govt. of Odisha BBSR. Though the aspect of rural development was earlier dealt with this Organization, at present this is not associated with.

The Official business of Dist Welfare Office is allocated by the D.W.O among the staff of the office.
