1. Aims and objectives of the organization:
This organization/office is to look out proper implementation of various skims launched by the ST & SC Development Dept. for welfare of SC, ST & Minority people of the dist. The vital role of the office to make the people under SC, ST & Minority category to be socially, economically& educationally developed.
2. Brief History & Background for its Establishment:
This office started functioning from 01/04/1993 being bifurcated from the parent Balasore Dist.
3. Details of Services Rendered:
The educational institutions functioning under ST & SC Development Department (except High Schools & Girls High Schools) & the students under ST & SC category of S & M Edn . Dept.are provided with pre-Matric scholarship from this office allotted by the Govt. in ST & SC Dev. Deptt. The students under ST, ST & Minority category are also provided with the Post Matric scholarship through this office allotted from the Govt. Cash incentive to inter cast marriage couples, legal aid to SC & ST litigants, monetary relief to SC & ST atrocity victim etc. are processed and disbursed in this office.

Day Office-10 AM to 1.30 P.M. & 2 P.M. to 5 P.M.Morning Office-7 A.M. to 1 P.M.
6. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
Grievance petitions are received in this office on Saturday) 11 A.M. to 2 P.M.-Day office & 9 A.M. to 12 Noon-Morning office). Besides petitions are also received during the office hours on any working day.
