1. Brief History & Background of its Organization: Rural Works Division, Jharsuguda under Rural Development Department, Government of Odisha has been created from 15.10.2006. Rural works Division, Jharsuguda under Rural Development Department, Government of Odisha has been jurisdiction under 03 (Three) Assembly constituency i.e., Jharsuguda & Brajrajnagar of Jharsuguda district. It looks after the repair maintenance, Improvement, Construction of Rural Roads, bridges and Culverts under R.D. Department in rural Areas. It takes construction and repair works of Government. Building situated in rural areas and borne in the book of Rural Development organisation as per availability of funds. 2. Aim & Objectives of the Organization: Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY): Rural works Division, Jharsuguda has taken up PMGSY from 2000-2001. The aim of the programme is to give connectivity to the unconnected habitation having population more than 1000 and more than 500. There are Five blocks under Jharsuguda district. Under the jurisdiction of the Rural Works Division, Jharsuguda. 5. Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission: As per Manual-2. 6.
