Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization:
In order to promote transparency and accountability in the functioning of the Collectorate, Bargarh.
2. Mission/ Vision:
For collection of State Revenue and look after maintenance of law and order made by parliament and other laws made by the State legislature.
3. History & Background of Its Establishment:
The administrator appointed under article-239 of the constitution of India. Creation of Collectorate in the part and parcel of the Odisha, Board of Revenue Act, and this Collectorate has been formed in the year 1994 bifurcated from the undivided Sambalpur district.
4. Duties Performed:

5. Main Activities/ Functions:
To manage all district level machineries in smooth manner related to both public and private sector for promotion of public health, education, agriculture, employment, labour and welfare activities etc.
6. Details of Services Rendered:
Provision of drinking water facility, road and building, Woman and Child Welfare, education, health and sanitation, poverty alleviation etc.7. Arrangements for Citizens Interaction/ Public Participation:
Full cooperation from the general public including immediate intimation in case of problem if any. The District Public Information and Public Relation Officer Bargarh and other field functionaries are taking active participation in this regard.
8. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
Every Saturdays (except holidays) are scheduled for hearing public grievance.

Bargarh district comprises of two sub-divisions namely Bargarh and Padampur comprising of the following tahasils, blocks and Municipality/ NAC.
