1) Brief History of the Public Authority: The Consolidation Circle Office, Basta is functioning with effect from 01.12.1978. The Area (Operational) of the circle, comprises with 812 villages with an area of 91.343 hector covering 4 Police Station namely Khaira, Simulia, Soro & Khandapara under Balasore District. At present all the camps have been closed w.e.f. 28.2.2010 as per Board of Revenue Odisha, Cuttack letter no. 4990 dt. 6.11.09 and all the Records, maps & other store articles have been taken to circle Office, Basta which have been kept in Record room. The post of Consolidation Officer has been abolished as per Revenue & D.M. Dept. Order No. 16568 dt. 9.4.08 and post of Addl. Sub-Collector has been created under the Technical control of Director Consolidation Odisha, Cuttack and under the administrative control of Collector. The Sub-Collector is in charge of this Circle, Simulia as per orders Board of Revenue, Odisha vide order no. 4142/ LR & S dt. 24.08.11 and declared as Head of Office. 2) Address of the Office: Consolidation Office,Simulia, Soro Dist.- Balasore 3) Working Hours of the Office: From 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.
