Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Brief History of the Public Authority: The Consolidation Circle Office, Basta is functioning with effect from 22.8.1975. The Area (Operational) of the circle, comprises with 409 villages with an area of 32.303 hector covering 3 Police Station namely Basta, Singla & Jaleswar under Balasore district. At present all the camps have been closed w.e.f. 28.2.2010 as per Board of Revenue Odisha, Cuttack letter no. 4990 dt. 6.11.09 and all the Records, maps & other store articles have been taken to circle Office, Basta which have been kept in Record room. The post of Consolidation Officer has been abolished as per Revenue & D.M. Dept. Order No. 16568 dt. 9.4.08 and post of Addl. Sub-Collector has been created under the Technical control of Director Consolidation Odisha, Cuttack and under the administrative control of Collector. The Addl. Sub-Collector, Balasore has been kept in charge of Circle Office, Basta & declared as head of Office vide Board's order No. 3453/ LR&S Dt. 16.5.2008. 2) Address of the Office: Consolidation Office, Basta,Dist.- Balasore 3) Working Hours of the Office: From 10.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M.
