1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization: Preparation of Comprehensive District Annual Plan as per instructions of Planning & Coordination Deptt. Implementation of different scheme of the Govt. to achieve overall development of the district as when instructed by Higher Authorities. 2. Mission/ Vision: For management of this office, one District Planning Officer and one Senior Economic Investigator are working for smooth implementation of MPLAD, MLALAD and Special Problem funds. 3. History & Background of its Establishment: Created new Jharsuguda district as per the Govt. Planning and Coordination Deptt. Odisha Letter No. 546 Dt. 11.01.1995. 4. Duties Performed: Administration and Monitoring of different development schemes of Govt. are performed by District Planning Officer and Senior Economic Investigator is maintaining the official records of different scheme. 5. Main Activities/ Functions: Preparation of District Annual Plan as well as Five Year Plan of the District and placement of same in District Planning Committee for approval. 6.
