Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

 1. Aims & Objectives of the Organization:

   To implement different schemes of Government as per approved guidelines, supply of information to the General Public as admissible under in order to maintain transparency & relationship with them.

2. Mission/ Vision:

   To work as Eyes & Ears of the district administration as well as of Government in the process of implementing different schemes successfully and maintain transparency with the public, since democracy implies "by the people, for the people & of the people".

3. History & Background of Its Establishment:

   This office has been functioning since 1993 after separation from mother district Kalahandi.

4. Duties Performed:

   Supply of available information and collection of information available with field functionaries on the schemes entrusted to those office.

5. Main Activities/ Functions:

   Preparation of Annual District Plans relating to different development sectors, secretarial assistance & support to District Planning Committee/ implementation of MPLADS/ MLALADS/ WODC/ RLTAP/ B.K.B.K./ Biju Gramya Jyoti Yojana/ Special Problem Fund/ Biju Saharanchala Bidyutikarana Yojana etc.

6. Details of Services Rendered:

   Implementation of different schemes for the public through field functionaries (P.I.A.s) of the district as indicated above.

7. Organizational Structure:

   District Planning Office, Nuapada is the representative office of Planning & Coordination Department, Government of Odisha. It is District Level Office. It is functioning inside the Collectorate premises.

8. Arrangements for Citizens Interaction/ Public Participation:

    Full Co-operation from the public regarding presenting their demands/ vision from grass root level/ awareness among people regarding different development schemes of Government implemented through this office - Rules & Procedures thereof.

    As per de-centralized planning process workshops are to be held at Block level District level for public participation / contribution. Besides, suggestions of different public representative are being taken to consider for implementation of development schemes of Government.

9. Grievance Redress Mechanism:

    Implementation of different schemes is being reviewed by the committees represented by public representatives. Besides, weekly public grievance cell is being held by the Collector to listen grievance of the public.
