Brief History of the Public Authority:
The District Planning Office, Jajpur started functioning from February 1993. The main function of the office is to prepare District Annual Plan and Five Years Plan. Now it is giving the Secretarial Assistance to the District Planning Committee, Jajpur. Besides, this office is dealing with the schematic work such as MPLADS, MLALADS and Special Problem Fund. The details regarding the above are mentioned under:
District Planning Committee:
As per the Odisha District Planning Committee Act 1998 and the District Planning Committee Rule, 2000 the District Planning Committee of Jajpur district consists of 20 (twenty) members out of which 16 (sixteen) are to be elected members which represents 15 (Fifteen) members from Zilla Parishad and 1 (One) from Urban Local Bodies. 2 (two) nominated members includes the committee. The District Planning Committee of Jajpur consists the members are as follows. Hon'ble MPs and MLAs of Jajpur District are permanent invites of the District Planning Committee, Jajpur.
