1) Brief History of the Public Authority & Context of its formation:
This Office came to exist in this district during 1993-94, after formation of this district. This Office has its head Office in Planning and Co-ordination Department of Government of Odisha.
The prime objective of the District Planning Office to extend secretarial help to the District Planning Committee in formation of Draft District Development Annual Plan and five year plan of the district. Besides it ensure proper selection, execution of projects/ works to be taken up through MPLADS funds/ MLALAD Funds/ Special Problem Funds, their utilisation and their effective review and monitoring.
