District Planning Committee:
As per the Odisha District Planning Committee Act 1998 and the District Planning Committee Rule 2000 the District Planning Committee of Balasore district consists of 20 (twenty) members out of which 15 (fifteen) are elected from amongst the Elected Members of the Zilla Parisad & 1 (one) from the Elected Councilors of the Municipality/ NACs in the District. 2 (two) Expert members are nominated by the Govt. in P & C Deptt. Further, the Chairperson is nominated by Govt. who is a minister in the council of minister of the State. The Collector of the district is Member Secretary to the District Planning Committee. Also, all the Hon'ble MPs and MLAs of the district are the permanent invitees of District Planning Committee. The District Planning Committee of Balasore consists the members are as follows:
