Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aims and Objectives of the Organization:

   The aim & objectives of this office is to formulate the Comprehensive District Annual Plan (C-DAP) Perspective Five Year Plan. Monitoring & Evaluation of different developmental schemes assigned by Planning & Co-ordination Department. To provide secretarial support to District Planning Committee. Besides, this office is dealing with some developmental schemes such as MPLAD, MLALAD, Special Problem funds, RLTAP, Biju-KBK & IAP etc.

2) Mission and Vision:

   The mission of this office is to achieve all-round socio-economic development of the district by preparing District (Annual/ Five year) Plans, taking into account the local area felt needs & utilization of resources and also by implementing various developmental schemes such as MPLAD, MLALAD, SPF, RLTAP, Biju-KBK & IAP etc.

3) Brief History and Background for its Establishment:

The District Planning Office, Nabarangpur was created in 5.07.1994 under the Planning & Co-ordination Department,Odisha consequent upon re-organization of districts.The Deputy Director (Planning and Statistics) District Planning and Monitoring Unit (DPMU) after merger of District Planning and District Statistic Office, Nabarangpur as the head of the office with office at District Headquarter. The District Planning Committee is the apex body to approve the Draft District Annual and Perspective Five year plans.

In-charge of Establishment/ RTI matters

Issue, Dispatch, Receipt of letters/ Treasury & Bank works

Data Entry-cum-Computer Operator

Typing correspondence Letters/ Web Data Entry/ other Computer related works

Peon-cum-Night watchman

Delivery of Letters/ Post/ Carrying of files/ Assistance for Issue, Dispatch & Receipt, Diary of letters etc.

5) Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:

   Implementation of developmental plans and programmes, Regular monitoring, Supervision, Inspection, Field visit, Review meetings and preparation of plans, DPC election & Meetings.

6) Details of Services rendered:

   This office is rendering services as required under the Local Area Development Schemes such as MPLADS, MLALADS, SPF, IAP, Biju KBK, RLTAP and other works as and when district administrative deserved .
