Particulars Of Organization Functions & Duties

Aims and objectives of the Organisation:

    The main objective of this organization is collection, compilation and reporting of primary data relating to Socio Economic and Agriculture sector as well as different development programmes in respect of Jagatsinghpur district. Different publications published by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics Odisha, Bhubaneswer are made available in this office for public. 

Mission & Vision:

    This organization works under the direct control of Directorate of Economics and Statistics. Odisha, Bhubaneswer. This office serves as field agency for collection of data relating to Socio Economic and Agriculture sector as well as different developmental programme of the district. This office works under direction of the Director Economics &Statistics from time to time. 

Brief History & Background of its Establishment:

    This office starts functioning since 1994 at district headquarters Jagatsinghpur .This office is headed by District Statistical Officer with 42 nos of staff. Out of which 31 nos deployed to Held for conducting field survey.

Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:

     The main duty of this office is to conduct area enumeration and yield estimation under Agril. Survey and to collect data on Socio Economic survey every year. This office collects official statistics from various departments   located in the district for publication of district Statistical Hand Book. Besides the above, this office collect whole sale, retail and producers price of some selected items from primary market.
