Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aim & Objectives of the Organization:
The District Panchayat office is functioning for supervising and monitoring the Gram Panchayat and G.P. wing of Panchayat Samities in the district. The G.P. administration is managed by the Dist. Panchayat Office. It also assists the District administration in G.P. matters.
2. Mission/ Vision:
To look after proper administration in the district at Gram Panchayat level.
3. Brief History and Back Ground for its Establishment:
The District Panchayat Office, Subarnapur is functioning with effect from 01.04.1993 on creation of Subarnpur District to look after the provisions of the O.G.P. Acts and Rules and for their effective administration at the grass root level.
4. Allocation of Business:
To render assistance to the District Administration in controlling G.P. administration in the district
5. Duties to be Performed to achieve the Mission:
To gear up the G.P. field staff working at G.P. level, Block level as well as at Sub-Divisional level for proper functioning of G.P. administration in the District.
6. Details of Service Rendered:
Conducting monthly G.P. field staff meeting for review of different schemes executed through the G.Ps. i.e. proper conducting of Pali Sabha, Gram Sabha, G.P. meeting, management of Public Properties transferred to G.Ps. , utilization f grant- in - aid received by the G.Ps. like, K.L. Grant, Hon. to Sarpanches/ Naib-Sarapanchs, D.A/ Sj. Toward Members/ Sarapanches/ Naib Sarapanches, staff subsidy to G.P. staff. Sairat source, inspection of GPs. By the G.P. field staff, collection of demand adjustment of advance of G.Ps. distribution of above G.A. to G.Ps. and submission of U.Cs. and D.C. bills on allotment received.

Attending Jana Sampark Sibir organized by the District Administration, District Grievance Cell for citizen interaction.

The general public can put forth their grievances in any working day during the office hour
12. Grievance Redress Mechanism:
One Dealing assistant is kept in charges for redressal of the grievance petitions received form various quarters. The grievance petitions received for different Grievance Cell are being sent to different quarters for proper enquiry and redressal of the grievances.
