Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aims & Objectives of the Organization: The Dist. Panchayat Office is a intermediary body of 3 tire PRI institution. Its main function is to supervise/ Conduct the general Election/ Bye-Election to the members of the 3 tire PRI institution and the establishment of the Govt. employees of PEO/ GP Secretaries. 2) Mission/ Vision: i) To achieve rural development by way of strengthening the PRI institution providing training to the elected members about their duties, powers & functions of this institution.ii) To ensure proper implementation of the anti poverty Schemes, implemented by the govt. from time to time.iii) To ensure quality life and livelyhood of the rural poor people.iv) To bringing changes in rural area by establish a self govt. institution organized by the local people. 3) Brief History & Background of the Establishment: The Dist. Panchayat Office is a organization institution established through enactment of the Odisha Gram Panchayat Act, 1962 and this Dist. Panchayat Office, Malkangiri is came in to light after bifurcation of the earstwhile Koraput dist. Since then nos. of Officers serve this institution for the settlement of the local poors. 4) Organization Chart: This Institution consisit of 108 Gps divided in to 7 Blocks are as fallows: Sl.
