1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
The District panchayat office is functioning for supervising and monitoring the work of Panchayat and G.P. Wing of Panchayat Samities on District. The G.P. Administration in the district is managed by the Dist. Panchayat office. He also assists, the District Administration in G. P matters.
2. Mission/ Vision :
To look after proper administration in the District Gram Panchayat level.
3. Brief History and Background for its Establishment :
After enactment of O.G.P. Acts and Rules this office has been established with a view to carry out extend the aims and objective of the O.G.P. Acts & Rules at G.P. Level.
4. Allocation of Business:
To render assistance to the District Administration in controlling G.P. Administration in the district
5. Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission :
To Gear up the G.P. Field staff working at G.P. Level, Block level as well as at Sub- Divisional level for proper functioning of G.P. administration in the District.
6. Details of Services Rendered :
Conducting monthly G.P. Field staff meeting for review of different schemes executed through the G.P.s, i.e proper conducting of Palli Sabha, Gram Sabha, G.P. Meeting, Management of public properties transferred to G.P.s, Utilization of grant- in- aid received by the G.P.s lik, K.L. Grant, cess grant, Honto Sarapanchas/ Naib Sarapanchs, D.A/S.F. To Ward member s/Sarpanchs/ Naib- Sarapanchs staff subsidy to G.P. Staff, Sairat Sources, inspection of G.P.s by the G.P. field staff collection of demand, adjustment of advances of the G.P.s distribution of above G.I.A top G.P.s and submission of U. C.s and D.C bills on the allotment received.
7. Citizen's Interaction :
Attending Jana Samparka Sibir organized by the district Administration, dist. Grievance Cell for Citizens interaction.

11. Grievances Redress Mechanism :
One dealing Asst. is kept in charge for redressal of the grievance petition received from various quarter. The grievance petition received form different grievance cell are being sent to different quarters for proper enquiry and redressal of the grievances.
