1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
The Zilla Parisad, Boudh is the biggest inspiring force in alleviating poverty in rural areas since long. It is implementing several schemes of the central and the state Govt. through the DRDA.
2. Mission and Vision:
It aims at alleviating poverty in the District by implementing several schemes by involving the people as well as PRI members in the district.
3. Brief History and Background for its Establishment:
It is registered as DRDA, Boudh vide Regd. No. BDH-1-1/1994-95 dated 07.07.1994 covering 3 Blocks of undivided Kandhmal District. After reorganization of Boudh District 3 Blocks pertaining to Boudh Sub-Division are under the jurisdiction of this Agency. So after the bifurcation the jurisdiction of this Agency comprises of 3 Blocks and 1sub-Division having 3 Tahasils. There are 1190 (Inhabited:-1115 & Uninhabited:-75) revenue villages comprising of 373372 population out of which SC- 81710 & ST- 46557 as per 2001 Census. There are 63 GPs at present after reorganization of GPs. As per 1997 BPL survey, a total of 71872 families have been identified.
