Aims & Objectives of the Organization: The District Panchayat Office is functioning for supervising and monitoring the Gram Panchayat and G.P. Wing of Panchayat Samities in the District. The G.P. administration in the district is managed by the Dist. Panchayat Office. It also assists the District Administration in G.P. matters.
Mission & Vision: To look after proper administration in the District at Gram Panchayat level.
Brief History & Background for its Establishment:
After enactment of O.G.P. Acts and Rules this office has been established with a view to extend the aims and objectives of the O.G.P. Acts & Rules at G.P. level.
Allocation of Business:
To render assistance to the District Administration in controlling G.P. administration in the District.
Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:
To gear up the G.P. field staff working at G.P. level, Block level as well as at Sub- Divisional level for proper functioning of G.P. administration in the District.
Details of Services Rendered:
Conducting monthly G.P field staff meeting for review of different schemes executed through the G.Ps. i.e. proper conducting of Palli Sabha, Gram Sabha, G.P. meeting, management of public properties transferred to G.Ps., utilization of grant-in-aid received by the G.Ps. like; K.L. Grant, Cess grant, Hon. to Sapranches / Naib-Sarpanchas, D.A./SJ. to Ward Members/Sarpanches/Naib-Sarpanchaes, staff subsidy to G.P. staff. Sairat source, inspection of G.Ps. by the G.P. field staff, collection of demand, adjustment of advances of the G.Ps. distribution of above G.I.A. to G.Ps. and submission of U.Cs. and D.C. bills on the allotment received.
