Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aims and Objectives of the Organization:
Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Boudh Kandhamal Division) Phulbani. The objective of the Organization is to uplift the socio economic conditions of the people by enrolling them as member of Cooperatives and registering different types of self-help Co-operatives.
2. Mission/ Vision:
The area of operation of the office is extended to Kandhamal Boudh Revenue Districts with a view to act as friend, philosopher and guide of Cooperative societies functioning in these district for their development and upliftment of economic conditions of its members.
3. Brief History & Back ground for its Establishment:
The Office of the Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies (Boudh- Kandhamal Division) Phulbani has created in the year 1979 separating from Berhampur Division for providing better services to the people of undivided Phulbani District.
4. Allocation of Business:
To implement the Government policies and programmes assigned from time to time in the Co-operative Societies for development of farmer members.
5. Duties to be Performed:
To registered newly organized central soceities and self help Co- operatives in this Division.
6. Details of service rendered:
Registration of Central Co-operative Societies, Registration of Self-Help Co-operative, Inspection of Co- operatives, hearing of dispute cases, Execution of Cases & providing finance to members through Cooperative Bank, implementation of crop insurance scheme for benefit of the farmers .
