C) Promotion of Handicraft Artisan in the District:

     In order to develop the skill of Handicraft artisans for enhancing the productivity/ competitiveness by producing attractive marketable product according to demand of the market, steps is being taken as follows.

i. Craft village has been organized for development of Bamboo Crafts/ Terracotta/ Dhokracasting/ Applique.

ii. Rehabilitation of handicraft artisan (RHA)

iii. Promotion of Handicraft enterprise (PHE)

iv. Skill development/Design Development training programme.

v. Exposure visit of the Artisan.

vi. Exhibition for marketing support.

vii. Issue of identity card to artisans.

viii. Coverage of handicraft artisan under Janashree Bima Yojana/Rajiv Gandhi Swasthya Bima Yojana.

ix. DIC aims at to adopt a Professional approach, work pro actively, problem solving and create entrepreneurship at the field level so as to accelerate the process of Industrialization in the District.

x. DIC will act as a catalyst in the process of Industrialization so as to help the people to enjoy direct benefit in terms of employment, improved income level and multiplier effects.

6. Funding Agency :

     In order to implement the development of MSME/ Handicraft/ Employment Generation, convergence of scheme of different support Institutions as mentioned below shall be explored.
