Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aim & Objectives of the Organization:

To promote Small Scale Industries, Handicraft, Cottage & village Industries and to implement PMEGP programme of DIC & OKVIB.

2. Mission/ Vision:

i) To set up more SSI units above Tiny sector i.e investment more than 10.00 lakhs basing on available local resources.
ii) To Provide employment opportunities io educated & unemployed youth.
iii) Development of Artisan Sector.

3. Brief history & back ground for its establishment:

D.I.C Dhenkanal has come into existence from August-1978 and since then it is engaged in implementing the policy & programme of Govt. by way of establishing small scale Industries, Handicraft & Cottage Industries in the District. DIC is also implementing PMEGP scheme for establishing the unics under Service & industries sector for providing employment opportunities.

At D.I.C office all the officers and supervisors & staff attached to different sections as mentioned in the Organization Chart are performing duties under their direct supervision to achieve the mission.
