Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1. Aim & Objective of the Organisation:
The aim & Objective of the Organisation is for Planning, Execution & Supervision of Development Programmes & Implementation of various schemes & works in the district of Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur & Kendrapara relating to Drinking Water Supply, Sewerage and Disposal System. Besides this, Executive Engineer is the inspector of local works of the different U.I.Bs in above four districts.
2. Mission/ Vision:
The Mission is to work for providing drinking water supply to the inhabitants of various U.L.Bs and effective disposal of sewages for achieving healthy sanitary conditions.
3. Brief History & Background for its Establishment:
The Office of the P.H. Division II, Cuttack started functioning from 1987. It was looking after the drinking water supply to rural and urban areas. But after Bifurcation of Urban and Rural areas in the year 1991, this Office is looking after the water supply to urban areas only. The District wise following 10 nos. ULBs come under this jurisdiction of this Division.

4. Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:
Good work Culture, Punctuality, Dexterity, Timely performance, Avoidance of all corrupt practice & Sensitivity to Public needs is duties to be preformed to achieve the Mission.
5. Details of Services Rendered:
The service rendered to Public is as follows:
a) Providing drinking water supply to the inhabitants of different U.L.Bs under P.H. Division-II, Cuttack
b) Maintenance of water supply systems in different U.L.Bs.c) Maintenance of sewerage system for different Government Building and colonies.
