Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

1) Aims & Objectives of the Organization:

   The Public Health Division-III, Bhubaneswar is functioning as a maintenance Division under Department of Housing & Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha. The Division is functioning under Superintending Engineer, Public Health Circle Bhubaneswar & Chief Engineer, Public Health Urban Odisha, Bhubaneswar. It has 4 (Four) Nos. of Sub-divisions (VIZ). The Sub-divisions are (i) Public Health Sub-division, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar (ii) Public Health, Sub-division Gatikia, Bhubaneswar (iii) Public Health, Sub-division, Mundali, Cuttack (iv) Public Health Sub-division Khordha at Khordha. The Division is headed by the Executive Engineer and the above Sub-divisions are headed by Assistant Engineers.

2) Functions & Duties:

   Public Health Division-III, Sahid Nagar, Bhubaneswar is in charge of construction & maintenance Work of Water Treatment Plant at Mundali, Water Supply Project at Ghatikia, Water Supply & Sewerage System to Shailashree Vihar, Niladri Vihar, Kanan Vihar, Maitri Vihar, Dist. Centre of Chandrasekharpur, Water Supply to Jagannath Vihar, Water Supply to Kalinga Nagar, Maintenance & Sinking of Tube Wells in Bhubaneswar Municipality Area. Water Supply to Khordha Municipality, Water Supply to Jatni Municipality, Water Supply to Balugaon NAC & Water Supply to Banpur NAC.

3) Jurisdiction:

a) Public Health, Sub-division, Chandrasekharpur, (Junior Engineer- 4 Nos.)

b) Public Health, Sub-division, Ghatikia, (Junior Engineer- 4 Nos.)

c) Public Health, Sub-division, Mundali (Junior Engineer- 4 Nos.)

d) Public Health, Sub-division, Khordha (Junior Engineer- 4 Nos.)

A. P.H. Sub-division, Chandrasekharpur (Four Nos. Junior Engineers)

1. Water supply to Sailashree Vihar, Kanan Vihar, Phase-VII area of Chandrasekharpur, Maintenance of Residential and Non-Residential Buildings.

2. Maintenance of water supply to Maitri Vihar, Samanta Vihar, District Centre of Chandrasekharpur area and other development works.

3. Water supply to Niladri Vihar area along with maintenance of Residential & Non-Residential Building.

4. Maintenance and water supply to 96 Nos. of 'F' Type Qrs. of Unit-VIII area of Bhubaneswar.

B.1. Maintenance of water supply project at Ghatikia along with other development works.

2. Water supply to Kalinga Nagar, Satya Sai Enclave, Khandagiri Enclave.

3. Water supply to Jagannath Vihar, Baramunda area and other maintenance works.

4. Sinking of Tube Wells along with maintenance of Tube Wells in Bhubaneswar Municipality Corporation areas.

C.1. Maintenance of water treatment plant at Mundali and 1200 mm rising line from Mundali to Ghatikia.
