Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

Aims and Objectives of the Organization:

   The main aim and objective of this Division is to prepare drinking water supply and sanitary facilities to the part of Bhubaneswar City is Covt. quarters from Unit-! to Unit-VIII,  Satyanagar, Kharavela Nagar,Ashok Nagar,Forest Park,Aerodrome Area, Palaspalli ,Bhimatangi Housing Board Colony,Goutam Nagar,Budha Nagar ,Laxmisagar,Jharpada, Chintamaniswar,Kalpana Flat and Private Area.B.J.B Flat and Private Area,Nageswar Tangi,Baragarh ,Rameswar Patna,Rengali Housing Colony,Baramunda Area,Paika Nagar , Nayapalli VIP Area,Dharma Vihar,Bhimpur,Ganga Nagar,Surya Nagar , Gandamunda, Jagamara etc.

To provide drinking water and Sewerage facilities to the people of the Bhubaneswar City (Partially)

History and Background for its Establishment:

Office of the Executive Engineer P.H. Division-I, Bhubaneswar has been created during year 1973

Allocation of Business:

In the above administrative setup the business of the project is allocated in the following manner.

   The Executive Engineer exercises his powers as per relevant code and supervises over four divisions (as per Organization Chart) in matters of works and establishment of the Division. The executions of works are mainly executed by assistant Engineers and Junior Engineer in-charge of progress of work in new projects schemes.

Duties to be Performed to Achieve the Mission:

   To carry out the survey and investigation. Design and planning of different works components. Acquisition of Government. Private and forest land for project implementation. Monitoring of progress of work in new projects schemes.
