Particulars of Organization, Functions & Duties

Aims and Objectives of the Organization:

   The Election section of Collectorate deals with the conduct of Election process in the District .It includes Revision of Electoral Rolls, Generation of EPIC, Conduct of By-Election, and General Election to Loksabha & OLA etc.

Mission/Vision:

   The basic vision of this section is to conduct free and fair election in the district as per guideline of Govt. Home (Election), Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

Brief History and Background for its Establishment:

   This section was established during the year 1992 after bifurcation of Rayagada district from mother district Koraput.

Allocation of Business:

   To conduct free & fair election, Revision of Electoral Rolls and Vote Photo Identity Cards as per the guidelines of Govt. Home (Elections) Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

Duties to be performed to achieve the Mission:

   All the guidelines of Govt. Home (Election) Deptt. is required to be followed and are to be communicated to concern Officers.

Details of Services rendered:

   The District Election Officer & Collectors the authority to redress the Public grievance relating to this section.
