1. Brief History of the College:
Ballavi Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya , a rural based college located between two district headquarters of the state, stretches by 38 Kms. Towards east of Cuttack and 25 kms. Towards west of Kendrapara on the Cuttack-Kendrapara State Highway, near the temple of Lord Shaktiswar, at Nischintakoili, surrounded by acres and acres of fertile land of Natakai, has a mission to promote higher education among the rural poor girls around the area of Nischintakoili and enables them to compete with others in the long journey of life, this pioneer Non.Govt. institute,established in 1992, affiliated to CHSE Odisha has certainly fulfilled its founder's dreams illumine the countryside and usher the era of peace and prosperity .
2. Aim & Objectives of the College :
The aim of the college is to provide quality education to rural area poor girl students .
3. Strength of the College:
Initially the college was granted permission opening of +2 Arts Stream student strength of 128 in 1993-1994 & Science Stream opening Students strength 64. But keeping in mind the students' demand the total intake has been increased to 256 in +2 Arts stream .
4. Main Activities/ Functions of the College :
The college has been functioning as a Non-Govt. college and managed and controlled by Managing bodies prescribed by the Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha with massive infrastructure, modern class rooms, Hostel, Bus, well equipped laboratories, specious library and above all, a highly efficient staff; the college is pursuing excellence aiming at the complete personality development of women students in the rural area . So as to create better women of vision and responsibility to surpass all hurdles of life and rebuild the society.
