1. Brief History of the Public Authority:
Established +2 Arts in 1988 and +2 Science in 1989 at Draupadi Junior college, Gumuda situated at Gumuda in the Tribal District of Rayagada under KBK region and strives hard for excellence in its way to fulfill its goal and mission since then to impart higher Education to the students of Socially and Educationally downtrodden students of this locality.
2. Aim & Objectives of the Public Authority:
Basically, it aims to develop the education of weaker sections which constitute about 80% of the population of Rayagada, Ramanaguda Block.
3. Strength of the Public Authority:
From of small student strength of 128 in +2 Arts and 64 in +2 Science the college has made rapid strides over the periods of tone, catering to the needs of about 128 and 64 students. It provides teaching facility in 11 subjects at under +2 level (Arts & Science)
4. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:
This college has also been indefinite as a centre to upgrade the next of SC/ST/OBC/SEBC students. The college has been functioning as a full Aided College and managed and controlled by statutory & non statutory bodies as prescribed by the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Odisha. Basing on its academic reputation, Co-curriculam activities quality of Institutional Management and responsiveness of Administrative structure. This institution is fully committed to its aims and goal and taking good care of students.
