1. The college crest :
In the crest there is an unfold opened book near a burning lamp represents the continuous art of acquiring knowledge to illuminate the society in the midst of darkness. The lower part shows the aspiration of knowing more about life and the two olive stem leaves symbolises striving to promote peace and harmony.
The college, Anchalik College, Budhapal as the first +2 Arts college in Reamal Block in the dist of Deogarh was established in 1989, and was recognised by the Govt. of Odisha and affiliated under CHSE (O), BBSR . The college was primarily under private management and was taken over under 1994 GIA policy by the Govt. of Odisha. In the beginning the college was running in Budhapal High School Hostel. Today the college is proud of having an independent building of its own.
Initially the college started in 1989 in +2 Arts with a sanctioned strength of 128. Keeping in pace with the devp. of Science and Tech. +2 Science stream was opened in 1994 with a strength of 64. The Govt. in later period was kind enough to increase seat to 96 in 2008. Now the college has obtained Permanent Concurrence and affiliation. Contrary to that the Govt. has been pleased to run Vocational Education in EDA and DF Trade in this college since 2004.
Today Anchalik College, Budhapal is a full fledged college. There are 32 staff members in this college out of which 9 belongs to GIA and others under Block Grant. The college strength gone upto 640.
The college ventures to create passion for learning among the rural youths for the nation building.
2. Aim & objective of the college:
The main objective of this institution is to impact knowledge to the students in different fields . Simultaneously this institution also aims at the overall development of the students physical, moral and spiritual. Games and sports are also an integral part of this institution which inspires the students to be physically sound. There are also YRC, NSS related social service and cultural programmes.
