1. Brief History of the Public Authority:

     The college was established in the year 1987 as Brundaban Chandra College, Redhua in the district of Jagatsinghpur recognized by the Govt. in the Dept. of Higher Education and Affiliated to CHSE, Odisha. It is a disciplined college in rural area which has been functioning to achieve meticulously its goal.

2. Aim & Objectives of the Public Authority:

     The institution is a leading college of Raghunathpur Block imparts education both to the boys and girls. Out of the total strength 70% of the students are girls. The college aims at educating weaker section of the areas of Raghunathpur, Jagatsinghpur and Tirtol Blocks adjacent to its catching areas.

3. Strength of the Public Authority:

     The college has streams like Arts and Science having 256 and 64 seats respectively. The affiliated optional subjects in Arts are Political Science, History, Economics, Odia, Sanskrit, Education and Indian Music and in Science Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. As per the Govt. instruction the teaching of Yoga and Environmental Education has been introduced for all the students in order to develop physical, Mental and Social character.

4. Main Activities/ Functions of the Public Authority:

     The college is the Centre of excellence which possesses a good academic records. As a leading institution of Raghunathpur Block in the district of Jagatsinghpur, it is the 1st Aided college to get GIA as per the GIA order 1994, Block Grant as per the order 2009 and the Science staff are under Management Payment.
