1.  About College:

     Aeronautics College, formerly Aeronautics Commerce & Arts College, was established in the year 1981 with the express objective of meeting the academic requirement of the children of the HAL employees beyond school level. The college has been functioning under the aegis of Aeronautics Education Society (an autonomous registered body financed and managed by HAL) since its inception.

     Initially it started with intermediate classes in Arts and Commerce streams affiliated to Berhampur University. Subsequently after the induction of +2 streams, the college was re-affiliated to CHSE (O), Bhubaneswar. Science stream was introduced in 1984. Presently the college is permanently affiliated to CHSE (O) and Berhampur University for +2 and +3 (Honours and General) courses respectively.

     Degree courses in Arts, Commerce and Science opened in 1993. The diligent effort of the college authority in opening Honours courses in the college bore fruit.  The college offers honours courses in Chemistry, Physics, History, Economics and Accounting. Presently there are 1082 students on the rolls. The present strength of our academia is 42. Over the years the college has a track record of showing remarkable results at all levels - at intermediate, +2 and +3 stages. The college has succeeded in accomplishing the best of academics in the undivided Koraput District. Simultaneously the college is believed to the top ranking colleges in the state of Odisha.

2. Vision:

a) To inculcate knowledge and power to the younger generation.

To seek to preserve, transmit and advance knowledge.

To be a leader among educational institutions by building on our tradition of innovation, problem solving, and interdisciplinary collaboration to meet the changing needs of the society.

To focus the efforts on the capability of all students to grow academically and personally while achieving success.

To provide a stimulating learning environment with a technological orientation across the whole curriculum, which maximizes individual potential and ensures students of all ability levels are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, work and life.

3. Mission:

     To provide students with high quality complete education designed to motivate them to achieve their personal, financial and self improvement goals; and to endow to the wards of the HAL employees and to the students of the nearby areas of Sunabeda, with value based and qualitative education.

4. Objectives:

a) To create & disseminate knowledge through research & artistic expression, teaching and learning; and to transfer intellectual products to society.
b)
To serve our students by teaching them problem-solving, leadership and teamwork skills, and the value of a commitment to quality, ethical behavior, society and respect for one another.
c)
To pursue the advantages provided by a diverse and relatively small community, open to the exchange of ideas, where discovery, creativity, and personal and professional development can flourish.
d)
To provide students with the fundamental knowledge, interdisciplinary problem solving skills, societal awareness, and confidence required to excel in their chosen professions and be leaders in a global environment.

Be recognized as one of the elite colleges through research, & innovation.
f)
To maintain a collegial, supportive & diverse environment that encourages our students, faculty, and staff to achieve to the best of their abilities
