1) Brief History of the Public Authority & Context of its formation:

     Baruneswar Mohavdiyalaya, Lenkasashi, Po-Arei, Dist-Jajpur is a fully aided composite college  that imparts teaching at both (+2) and Degree level, Established in the year 1980 in an agrarian set up as an Intermediate college under the Utkal University, the college become a Degree college in the year 1987-88. The Science stream and commerce stream were added to the Degree part in the year 1991-92 and 1997-98 respectively. The Degree college has been registered under 2 (f) and 12 (B) of UGC since 1991.

     The college is located over a vast campus of fourteen acres of land surrounded by lush green vegetation, overlooking holy shrine of lord Baruneswar as per whose name the college has been christened. The institution has well furnished infrastructural facilities including class rooms, common rooms, toilets for the staff and students, both boys and girls. College provides a very good, well equipped sophisticated library and laboratory facility for the students.
