1) Brief History of the Public Authority:
The College started as D.A.V. College, Titilagarh, Dist. Bolangir (Odisha) from 1st July 1968 and the college came in to G.I.A. fold during the session 1971-72. The institution has been accredited 'B' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), an autonomous assessment body of the U.G.C. Autonomous status has been conferred on D.A.V. College since 2009. The college also enjoys the Unique honour of "College with Potential for Excellence" (CPE) status from 2010.
2) Main objective of the Public Authority:
The main objectives of this Institution are:i) To promote quality learning and creativity among students belonging to poor & tribal section of the society and teachers.ii) To inculcate love for learning among the students.iii) To make the learners grow mentally, morally and physically fit human beings.iv) Training the students to be creative and competitive to face the challenges of the new millennium.v) Enabling them to find access into their spheres of interest enjoying equal opportunities.
